Debt burden ratio calculator
Every UAE bank works this number out before it lends, and none of them show it to you. Enter your income and what you pay each month; see where you sit against the ceiling. Nothing you type leaves this page.
Your month
Income first, then everything already promised.
What you pay each month
Loan instalments, card obligations, BNPL plans, anything with a due date.
Not sure what your cards count as?
Many UAE banks count 5% of a card's limit as a monthly obligation, used or not. Enter a limit to see the figure, then add it above.

This is the arithmetic, not a decision. A bank also weighs how steady your income is, the product you asked for, your credit file and its own appetite — and many apply a stricter ceiling than the published one.
How this works
What it assumes
Your ratio is everything you owe each month divided by what comes in each month. Credit cards are the awkward part: many UAE banks count a share of the limit rather than the balance, so the helper offers 5% of a limit and you decide whether to use it. A new instalment you are considering is added on top and shown separately.
What it doesn't know
It doesn't know your bank's own ceiling, which is often stricter than the published one, or how it treats allowances, commission and variable income. It doesn't see your credit file. Two people with the same ratio get different answers, and that is the bank's judgement rather than arithmetic.
